At the entrance to the park is the renovated Atcher's Cabin, owned by one of Radcliffe's most famous settlers, the Atchers, a family of hunters and gatherers.
The camp was home to several Kentucky troops who guarded the bridge and drilled for service. Country Creek Primitives in Portland is one of the largest and most prestigious antique shops in central Indiana, serving as the headquarters of the Indiana State Historical Society and the Kentucky State Museum.
